Artist's Comments

second being uploaded in this "objectification" series.

while normally i try to avoid using any kind of celebrity in these cut-ups, Cate Blanchett just fit so perfectly onto this iceberg that i made an exception. the curve of her arm and the ice, the way here hair falls into on of the crevaces near the top, her neck on the edge, they were all such perfect fits. i personally really like the climbers going up into her hair.

as always, traditional collage technique.

This is really cool. It's different. I like it. Good to see unusual pieces once in awhile.

This, is amazing. You do this all by hand, correct?

Selection of images, blending of said images, and presentation (frames, etc) of the whole is excellent.
On a side note, I'm really starting to dislike those adjectives. They've been used so often that they're starting to lose their emphasis.

Too sexy for my subscription.

Thank you kindly. Yes, I do all my collage work by hand. Exacto knives are my true love.

Honestly, the thing that takes the most time in these collages is finding two (or more) images that fit together well enough to blend into one. This one fell into my lap though.

Had I the money, I'd be making noises concerning the purchase of this. You should consider it, if you haven't already.

I can see that, I've been looking for several years and have yet to find even a single one!

I'm very flattered. I have been thinking of starting a print account, because people keep telling me they would buy this or that. usually, I just give pictures away to friends.

It's hard to find the right combination, and the only answer is to have a TON of magazines on hand at any time. Clutters up my apartment but good!

Same here. I enjoy the process of drawing, and seeing what people like and dislike about it, but I have little interest in a finished piece. So I always find an occasion to mail them off to someone who'll enjoy them.

The only magazines I get are gaming, and I don't even look at them anymore. Used to be interesting articles and reviews, but now it's just a showcase.
